NSF FastLane
FastLane (https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/fastlane.htm) is
an interactive real-time system used by NSF to conduct
business with the research and education communities.
Functions currently available to investigators and their
administrative staff include: proposal preparation,
proposal status, project reports system, notifications
and requests, and continuation funding status. Fast
Lane submission is currently required for many NSF
proposals and will soon be required for all.

Obtaining a Personal Identification Number (PIN)
A PIN number is required to use many FastLane
functions including proposal preparation. To receive a
PIN number contact the OSP office on main campus
(328-6452) or medical campus (816-3151) and provide
the following information:
Name
Highest Degree and Year Conferred
Department
Campus Address
Social Security Number[2]
E-mail Address
Business Phone Number
Fax Phone Number
OSP will register you in the NSF database and the Fast
Lane system will assign you a PIN. You will receive
e-mail notification from NSF when your PIN number is
activated (usually within 24 hours).
