Directions for the Abstract of Application
The Abstract of Application should be typed and limited to one page. It is sent to UNC-General Administration and is used for
public information when needed. Because it is available for public review, do not include descriptions of proprietary or
confidential information. This Abstract is in addition to any abstract required by a funding agency.
Title
Use the same title as listed in Section 1 of the Internal Processing Form.
Number
OSP will add the 6-digit proposal number to the form that was created for your project when the Internal Processing
Form information was entered into our database. This number is used to track the proposal at ECU and UNC-General
Administration.
Principal Investigator(s)/Project Director(s)
List the project participants in the same order as in Section 1 of the Internal Processing Form.
Abstract
Text describing the purpose(s) or problem(s), the hypothesis(es) or objective(s), and the method(s) of the project.
